Francisco Álvarez de la Cadena Fernández

Psychologist & Integration Therapist

Francisco is a psychologist whose work focuses on addiction, emotional support, and the integration of non-ordinary states of consciousness. His approach combines psychological training with experience supporting individuals navigating substance use, challenging emotional processes, and psychedelic experiences.

His professional background includes training in behavioral and contextual therapies, psychedelic-assisted therapy, and addiction counseling. He has also worked in community-based mental health initiatives and with individuals experiencing problematic substance use, developing an approach grounded in attentive listening, psychological safety, and respect for each person’s individual process.

At Inner Realms Center, Francisco supports participants during the important period surrounding their treatment experience. His work focuses particularly on helping individuals process what has emerged, explore its personal significance, and begin translating insights into meaningful and sustainable change.

Beyond his clinical work, Francisco is the co-founder and Director General of Pies de Arcilla A.C., a nonprofit organization focused on community development and psychosocial support. This work has shaped his broader understanding of healing as something that extends beyond the individual to relationships, community, and a renewed sense of meaning.

Francisco brings curiosity, thoughtful presence, and a grounded psychological perspective to his work, creating space for participants to reflect on their experiences without imposing interpretation or meaning upon them.
