Dr. Ed Price

Independent Addiction & Integration Counselor

Dr. Ed Price is a licensed counselor and certified addiction specialist whose work brings together professional expertise in addiction recovery, counseling, and long-term support.

He holds a Doctor of Ministry from Liberty University and a Master of Arts in Counseling with a focus on addiction. He is licensed in individual and family counseling and is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC).

Ed brings extensive experience across both clinical work and leadership within the recovery field. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer of Charlotte Rescue Mission and later as CEO of FAVOR Upstate, a peer-led recovery support organization serving communities across South Carolina. His professional experience has given him a broad understanding of recovery, from individual and family support to the development and leadership of organizations serving people affected by substance use.

Ed’s connection to recovery and trauma work is also deeply personal. A U.S. Air Force veteran, he sustained a traumatic brain injury (TBI) in a motor vehicle accident while on active duty, followed by decades of living with PTSD, anxiety, and depression. After exploring multiple conventional and complementary approaches to healing, his own experience with ibogaine became an important turning point in that journey. Combined with ten years of personal recovery, these experiences bring an additional depth of understanding to his work with individuals navigating addiction, trauma, and the longer process of integration.

At Inner Realms Center, Ed’s work is focused on supporting participants around the therapeutic process, including preparation, post-treatment integration, and the development of practical family and aftercare strategies. His approach recognizes that the experience itself is only one part of the process, and that thoughtful preparation, integration, and continued support can play an important role in what follows.

Ed also brings an additional perspective through his training as a professional chef and his background in nutrition. His interest in whole-food nutrition and the relationship between food, recovery, and emotional wellbeing complements his broader approach to supporting participants during the recovery process.
